Registering for elective courses is like shopping online. You review course availability to determine your interest, you add and/or remove courses from your registration shopping cart and then you confirm which courses you want by completing your registration within the time frame established by the University. Keep in mind that your spot is not reserved in a course while it remains in your shopping cart. Your spot is guaranteed once you complete the registration process.

Special Notes:

  • At this juncture, online registration for elective courses is only available to students in the College of Osteopathic Medicine.

  • If a class is full, you can be added to a wait list. If a space opens up within the elective registration time frame, you will be informed by email and given 24 hours to register for the course before it is offered to the next person on the wait list.

  • Elective registration is only available the first two weeks of both the fall and spring term, and the first week of the summer term.

  • After the elective registration period has concluded for each semester, course cancellation and withdraw requests must be processed through the Registrar's Office in compliance with University policy and advertised deadlines.

  • Questions regarding elective courses or the elective registration process should be directed to either the Office of Curriculum and Education or the Registrar's Office.
